Westchester County Executive George Latimer is encouraging residents to read to their loved ones during this pandemic.
Latimer took some time out of his busy day to read "Where the Wild Things Are," by Maurice Sendak, for children who are home from school.

Latimer, a grandfather of two, says he understands the struggle parents face between home schooling their children and working from home.
"Kids are spending a lot of time at home and we want them to enjoy at least a couple of minutes while they're there maybe give mom and dad a little break. So I came to read you a book it's called ‘Where the Wild Things Are,'" says Latimer.
