The push to vaccinate more people in Westchester is getting a major boost as Westchester Community College is set to become the next COVID-19 vaccination site.
The WCC campus will become the second county-run vaccination location starting Friday.
As of Thursday, the first county-run site at the Department of Health in White Plains has vaccinated more than 5,000 people.
An additional 22,000 people got the vaccine at the state-run site at the County Center.
There are roughly 1million county residents -- but not all of them are eligible for the vaccine just yet.
The expansion is to help people get their second doses more smoothly.
It will be open six days a week and provide much-needed additional space.
To get an appointment, people will have to go to the usual New York state COVID-19 vaccination website to be directed to the new WCC location once it opens.
