Officials say two buildings in Mamaroneck were evacuated Thursday morning after strong winds led to debris flying off a damaged roof.
Fire officials say one of the buildings is being inspected to see if it is stable. Con Edison has turned off gas and power and about 10 tenants are expected to be kept out of their homes overnight.
A high-wind warning is in effect for Westchester County with winds gusting up to 50 miles per hour.
