Clarkstown says it is ready for whatever Mother Nature sends its way this weekend.
Highway department trucks are already loaded with tons of salt, and employees will be out clearing 300 miles of road and 45 miles of sidewalks.
The forecast is still unclear on what will hit Rockland, but the supervisor says they are prepared.
"This is a tough one to prepare for because you don't know what to expect. That's why we're preparing for everything, we're all loaded up with the salt. All the trucks will be at the ready. And when we get the call, we will be out there," says Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann.
Hoehmann reminds residents to stay off the roads if possible - that includes parking. This will help crews clear the roads quickly and safely.
