10h agoTwo memorials are set for this weekend in remembrance of Kayla Green, the 16-year-old girl who was fatally stabbed last week in Mount Vernon.
A candlelight vigil is scheduled for Friday night along Harper Avenue in the Bronx at 7 p.m.
A "Nine-Night" memorial will be held Sunday in Mount Vernon at the Elegant Loft on East Sanford Boulevard beginning at 6 p.m.
Green was killed and another teen was injured at the citywide celebration for the Mount Vernon boys basketball team.
A 15-year-old has been charged with manslaughter in Green's death.
