The CEO of a website has apologized for videos that some have said are insensitive to Judaism.

Video from study.com seen by students in Nyack and Clarkstown depicts Jews as aloof and not part of society.

In Nyack, Deputy Superintendent Carleen Millsaps called the videos inappropriate and said the videos don't represent the community.

"There's subliminal messages there, and overall Nyack is very proud of our diverse community, and we really cherish it and we want everyone to feel comfortable and valued," she says.

Millsaps says around 20 sixth-grade students at Nyack Middle school viewed the videos in December.

In a statement, study.com CEO Adrian Ridner apologized by saying, "As a person of Jewish faith myself, I assure you that study.com has no ideological agenda other than making education accessible. I wish to apologize on behalf of study.com. We did not intend to be offensive or insensitive."

The Nyack school district is working with local politicians, including Sen. David Carlucci, and the Jewish Federation of Rockland County to investigate the videos through the district attorney's office.

The Jewish Federation of Rockland County also reached out to six other schools to offer its services for teaching Jewish history and social tolerance in society.

Students at the school no longer have access to the videos.
