“We have flattened the curve.” Active COVID-19 cases drop below 10,000 in Westchester

For the first time in 10 days, the number of active cases in Westchester county has dipped below 10,000.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer says there are now 9,852 active cases.

"Now the hospitalization rate is dropping, and the total of active cases are dropping. We see we have flattened the curve here in Westchester County," says Latimer.
While that may be good news, Latimer says the virus is continuing to claim lives. More than 800 people have now died across Westchester County due to coronavirus.
