A Rockland homeowner says a water main break flooded her entire basement.
Allana Diaz says gallons of water flooded her home on Hudson Avenue in Haverstraw Monday due to a water main break just outside the property.
The problem wasn't fixed right away either -- it happened again later that night.
Diaz says she had to replace her flooring after a flood last July, costing her over $5,000.
Diaz says Suez Water is to blame and that her home insurance will not cover the loss. The latest round of flooding happened on a 20-degree day, and Diaz's mother tried helping clean up the mess. While trying to help, she slipped on the ice that formed in her driveway, breaking her ankle.
Diaz says her claim from July has already been denied, and she's worried the same will happen this time around.
Suez Water would only say in response that it is in contact with Diaz.
