WalletHub has come out with its list
of 2022's Best & Worst States to Have a Baby, and New Jerey ranked 18th.
WalletHub came out
with the rankings based on 32 key points, including health care accessibility
and costs such as delivery charges to infant care.
The average birth
costs a mom with insurance in the state around $3,000.
According to the
report, the state has the most OBGYNs per resident than any other state in the
country -- per 100,000 New Jersey
residents, there are 23 OBGYNs. That's 11.5 times more than the state with the
fewest, Kansas -- with only two OBGYNs per 100,000.
Massachusetts ranked
first, followed by Vermont and Minnesota. South Carolina finished
last.
