Wake held for New Rochelle teen killed in car crash
There were tears and long embraces as hundreds of family members and friends gathered in New Rochelle for the wake of a teen car crash victim.
State police say 19-year-old Justin Miceli was driving on I-95 Monday when he veered across the road, crashed into a guardrail and was ejected from his car. He later died from his injuries. Police are still investigating exactly what caused the accident, but they say the teen was driving more than 100 mph. They also say they found an open beer can in the car.
Miceli?s friends say they want to remember how the teen lived, not how he died. Friends say Miceli was a great football player who loved working on his red Ford Mustang. That car was parked in front of the funeral home as a tribute. Those who knew Miceli say the Iona College student was full of promise. Friends created a video on YouTube in the hopes that memories of Miceli will help them through their grief.
