Mourning friends and family gathered for the wake of a 17-year-old Mahopac High School student who died unexpectedly Tuesday.
The wake for Hannah Mikus was held at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac.
Mikus, who would have attended her senior year this fall, was treated for a urinary tract infection two weeks ago, according to her father. But her condition steadily worsened.
Ken Mikus, the teen's father, says his daughter suffered a seizure on Monday and was rushed to the hospital where she succumbed to an unknown illness.
Mikus' funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church in Mahopac Falls.
