Family members and friends gathered in Rye Wednesday to say their final goodbyes to Annie Petrillo who jumped off the Tappan Zee Bridge last week.

People who knew Petrillo say the 38-year-old woman never got over the death of her mother, the newspaper heiress Anne Scripps Douglas. Douglas was murdered by her husband, Scott Douglas, at their Bronxville estate in 1994.

Last Thursday, Petrillo ended her life by leaping from the same bridge as her stepfather after beating her mother to death.

A funeral Mass for Petrillo will be held at the Church of Resurrection in Rye Brook Thursday at 11 a.m.
