A Rockland family spent Tuesday making funeral arrangements for the 13-year-old girl who was killed while snow tubing.

Aleyris Martinez died after apparently losing control of the inner tube and hitting a tree at the Philip J. Rotella golf course in Thiells Monday. A younger girl was also injured and taken to the hospital, where she was treated for bruises.

Grief counselors were on hand at Fieldstone Secondary School throughout the day to help students deal with the loss of their classmate.
