Many Memorial Day remembrances took place virtually this Memorial Day as organizers say you can change the tributes, but you cannot change their meaning.
The Bedford Hills Fire Department streamed a wreath laying ceremony on their Facebook page and town website. The town of Stony Point also streamed their wreath laying memorial service on the town's Facebook page.
Croton-on-Hudson held a virtual ceremony on their Facebook page.
White Plains switched their annual Memorial Day commemoration to a virtual event, featuring a message from the mayor and parades from previous years.
The White Plains event will replay every hour through 10 p.m. Monday and every day at noon and 5 p.m. for the remainder of the week on their website.
