? The movie ?The Da Vinci Code? is playing across Westchester County to opposition from the faithful and a boycott call from the Vatican.
The film, which producers present as a work of fiction, centers around the marriage of Jesus Christ to Mary Magdalene and the Catholic Church?s cover up of their union. The Vatican and many Christians and Catholics feel the movie is sacrilegious and irresponsible. However, moviegoers still turned out in Yonkers Friday to see the film.
One patron called the movie dull, but says it gave him a lot to think about. Movie critics have also panned the flick.
