The Tappan Fire Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the individuals who vandalized their firehouse.
The fire department tells News 12 Westchester that they believe the incident happened sometime overnight Sunday into Monday.
Pictures and profanities are splattered all over the 115-year-old volunteer firefighter association building in purple and gold spray paint on Washington Street.
Firefighters say that this wasn't the only building vandalized in the area. They say there are two other reports of graffiti in Blauvelt and on Oaktree Road in Tappan.
Volunteers will be covering up the graffiti themselves and plan to install security cameras so vandals won’t be able to get away with it again.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police.
