Unionville police probe case of alleged family arsonists
A Unionville mother, her two teenage children and another man are behind bars, accused of setting a fire to kill the woman?s father-in-law.
State police say Tracey Doyle, 34, her 19-year-old daughter Shannon Kays, 16-year-old son Donald Doyle and a 22-year-old New Jersey man set the family?s home on fire Thursday while the woman's father-in-law was inside.
Police say the fire caused damage to the plumbing, electrical wiring and foundation, but the man managed to escape. They say Kays' two young children were not in the home at the time of the fire.
Doyle and her children are facing felony attempted murder and arson charges. The New Jersey man is charged with arson. They are being held in the Orange County Jail without bail.
Police say they have not identified a motive in the crime. However, neighbors report frequently witnessing fights and unrest within the family.
State investigators are asking anyone with information to call them at 845-344-5300.
