An Ulster County man was arrested and accused of downloading several videos that showed child pornography.
The Ulster County Sheriff's Office says it began investigating 41-year-old David Mulhauser with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security last August.
Investigators say a search of his former home in Gardiner showed evidence suggesting he had previously downloaded several child porn videos.
They also say they found a gun with no serial number -- otherwise known as a ghost gun.
Deputies say an electronics storage detection K-9 from Putnam County helped find a video camera disguised as a smoke detector.
Investigators believe Mulhauser used it to film 21 victims at two separate places in Ulster from June 2022 through February 2023, filming people going to the bathroom in his home and co-workers where he worked in Shawangunk.
All suspected victims were notified.
Mulhauser was released and told to return to court in the future.
