Two injured in ceiling collapse at Montrose VA hospital
Two people were injured Thursday after a plaster ceiling collapsed in a hallway at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System in Montrose.
A spokesperson for the VA, John Mazzulla, says the two injured people were taken to the hospital. One possibly suffered a broken bone, according to Mazzulla. He also says engineers have sealed off the corridor where the ceiling collapsed occurred and are investigating the cause.
Mazzulla says the hospital has multiple projects submitted for funding in order to maintain the building.
