Decades of fire code failures in Rockland are coming under the microscope this week in a yearslong 'Turn To Tara' investigation. 

Our team has combed through hundreds of public documents, court cases and other records in recent months that prove the breakdown in code enforcement has hit a crisis point, leaving innocent lives on the line. 
Now, advocates are demanding accountability in the aftermath of a deadly fire last year, that claimed two lives, including a volunteer firefighter and member of our own Altice family.

Our Senior Reporter Tara Rosenblum shows us the problem close up, with rare access to the county officials who are trying to get a handle on the problem.
