Turkey Bowl benefit held in Yorktown
Crowds came out in Yorktown Saturday to toss around the pigskin for a great cause.
Rain showers and muddy conditions didn't deter people from suiting up for the town's annual flag football Turkey Bowl. Nine teams competed for the title.
Organized by the Yorkville Sports Association, the event helps two local food pantries restock after the Thanksgiving crunch.
Along with cash donations and registration fees, players also dropped off canned goods for the pantries.
