Truck hits overpass on Bronx River Parkway
A truck that slammed into an overpass on the Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers caused plenty of traffic problems this morning.
Westchester County police say a produce truck was going southbound on the parkway around 6 a.m. today when it tried to go under a ramp leading to the eastbound Cross County Parkway.
Police say the driver, who was from out of state, was on the Sprain Brook Parkway heading for the Bronx when he became confused by the signs and ended up on the southbound Bronx River Parkway, where trucks are not allowed. The driver slammed into the overpass near Exit 11E where the Bronx River and Cross County parkways meet.

The top of the truck suffered extensive damage, and there was debris strewn on the roadway.
No injuries have been reported. The driver has received numerous citations.
Traffic was congested on all of the area's major roadways as result of the crash.
