Another truck got stuck under a bridge in Mamaroneck Monday morning, causing traffic tie-ups along Mamaroneck Avenue.
Police say the driver of the CVS truck had a GPS device tell him to continue on Mamaroneck Avenue and under the Metro-North bridge near Hoyt Street at around 7 a.m. The driver says he never saw the bridge height sign before his truck got stuck underneath. The bridge is only 10 feet, 11 inches high while the truck is 13 feet, 6 inches tall.
MTA workers are now inspecting the bridge. The driver of the truck is facing a number of violations.
County police say trucks have gotten stuck under bridges 29 times this year, with six of those incidents occurring last week under the Mamaroneck Avenue bridge.
