Authorities are looking for the driver of a tractor-trailer who hit and killed a man trying to change his tire on I-95.
Police identified the victim as 20-year-old Maicol Encarnacion Garcia from Queens.
According to police, the two passengers in his SUV say the truck hit Garcia just before 1 a.m. Monday in Mamaroneck and never stopped.
The incident follows another fatal hit-and-run less than six months ago. Tow truck driver Sal Brescia was struck and killed in a hit-and-run on I-95 back in December.
"You know the whole thing with Sal. He was just out there trying to do his job," says fellow tow truck driver Scott Croce.
Croce advises drivers not to leave the vehicle to change their own tire if they get a flat.
