Mount Pleasant Town Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi has declared a state of emergency after a quick line of storms this afternoon flooded several streets and neighborhoods.
"Please use extreme caution when traveling through Town and surrounding roadways," read a post from the town's Facebook page.
Lifelong resident Jason Miles' home was one of that was flooded.
"We've just been pumping and pumping and pumping and dumping it right back out as it's starting to come in. I went through, I burnt out two and a half pumps and my father ran down here with three more pumps and we've been keeping it out," he said.

Bradford Street and Brady Avenue where his home sits became a lake instantly during the storm after taking on several feet of water.
The home is in a flood zone so he and his family are used to this but it never gets easier.
"It doesn't take much," said Miles.
