(04/11/06) BEDFORD HILLS ? A toddler was struck by a car in a Bedford Hills parking lot Tuesday and suffered severe injuries as a result of the incident.
According to police, the car hit the 18-month-old boy in the parking lot outside a ShopRite grocery store. Witnesses say the boy ran out of the store and away from his mother before the accident. He was later airlifted to Westchester Medical Center for treatment.
Police say the driver of the car is a Mt. Kisco man in his 70s. No charges have been filed against the driver. The toddler, who suffered mostly head injuries, is listed in critical but stable condition.
