Cleanup is underway in one Dutchess County community after storms tore across parts of the Hudson Valley Wednesday.
A major burst of Wednesday's storms cut right between homes in Hopewell Junction, where the sounds of generators and chainsaws were heard in the wake of the storms.
It split trees and tore down powerlines in a matter of minutes.
It was strong enough to even knock one man to the ground.
The area was under a tornado warning, and viewer video shows a funnel clouds spinning right in the area.
Even though the National Weather Service has not confirmed a tornado, neighbors say they believe that's exactly what ripped through.
"Very lucky that it was the way it moved. It could've taken out three houses, four houses. Someone really could've gotten hurt," says Angelo Coviello, of Hopewell Junction.
News 12 is continuing to track power outages across the Hudson Valley. Utility crews have been working to restore electricity throughout the evening.
