Orange County Emergency Management put out an alert about accidents amid the winter weather that impacted the Hudson Valley Thursday night, asking drivers to go slowly.
There were a few accidents reported, including one on I-84 that involved a truck and caused delays.
Sullivan County residents Nija Reed and her daughter said they saw crash alerts on her phone. Reed said it was enough to convince her to stay home.
"Honestly you should not be out here driving unless you have something important. Maybe you have food to get and go home, stock up the refrigerator, that's fine. But other than that, you should not be out here. This weather is really bad," Reed said.
