Nearly 50,000 Con Edison and NYSEG customers are in their seventh day without power after two devastating storms.

During a news briefly with state and local officials on Thursday, Westchester County Executive George Latimer called on the utility companies to step up their response.

"We're talking about individuals whose lives have been disrupted now for a week because of this," said Latimer.
