Thousands of firefighters from across New York lined the streets of White Plains Wednesday to pay their final respects to a comrade.
William Malone was a firefighter with the Fairview Fire Department for 29 years and the fireman?s union leader. Malone died Friday in his Greenburgh home after an apparent aortic aneurysm. His work as a firefighter made a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Those who attended Malone?s funeral at St. John?s Church said his was a life filled with service.
