Thousands of people in Orange County were without power Thursday after a powerful nor'easter churned through the region.
At the height of the outages, an Orange and Rockland Utility spokesperson said about 6,100 were reported in Orange. The highest totals were seen in Port Jervis, Blooming Grove, Wallkill, Middletown and Deerpark. By Thursday evening, under 4,000 customers remained affected.
Some residents have been without consistent power since last Friday's storm.
"We got back on Tuesday about 2 o'clock, and then yesterday with the storm it knocked us out again," said Isaiah Mattocks, of Port Jervis.
There was no word on when service would be completely restored.
Wednesday's storm dropped more than 2 feet of snow in some parts of Orange County.
