A sea of green could be seen Saturday in Yonkers as thousands came out to celebrate the city's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.
More than 30 bands and 5,500 people marched in the parade.
The parade went down McLean Avenue past hundreds of Irish flags and a crowd decked out in green. Mayor Mike Spano and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino were in the procession along with this year's grand marshal, Yonkers native Pat Quinn, the famous founder of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
One of the nation's largest St. Patrick's Day parades is being held in Pearl River Sunday.
