Local first responders are helping to make sure that Westchester County residents have a nice meal this Thanksgiving.

Officers formed a socially distant assembly line to load hundreds of turkeys that will be delivered throughout the community.

"People don't just need food on Thanksgiving, they need food every day," one volunteer said. "So we try to assist in that way."

The event is part of a community effort by Stew Leonard's to provide more than 3,000 turkeys to food insecure people throughout the tri-state area.
