A personal trainer in Orange County speaking out after news of being unable to reopen in phase four.
Anthony Esposito says studios, like his in New Windsor, are different from gyms and similar to spas and salons, since clients are seen by appointment and one at a time.
Personal training studios, however, are not currently allowed to reopen per Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.
It is a hardship for many small business owners like Esposito who says he hasn't been able to collect unemployment. "It's been since March. I'm thankful for the clients doing virtual classes with me, by Zoom or YouTube, but it's been cut in half and the rent still has to get paid," says Esposito.
