A tentative agreement has been reached to dismantle and clean up the Indian Point nuclear power plant.
Attorney General Letitia James reached the agreement with Holtec.
If approved, it would transfer ownership of the facility from Entergy to Holtec, which would be responsible for a complete and safe decommissioning and remediation of the site.
News 12 was told the joint proposal is now available for public comment and is slated to be voted on by the Public Service Commission on May 13.
