The man accused of brutally murdering three people in a Hall Place apartment building was arraigned Tuesday in Bronx Supreme Court.Police say Rafin Vellon fatally beat his ex-girlfriend, her mentally handicapped son and another man. Vellon?s former girlfriend, Gloria Valdez, allegedly filed a domestic violence incident report days before she was murdered. Neighbors say Valdez recently kicked Vellon out of the apartment after incidents of abuse, some of which they witnessed. The third victim in the triple murder was Polonio Peralta, who was filling in for his friend as the building?s superintendent. Police say he was murdered after catching Vellon by surprise during the incident. Vellon is charged with three counts of murder and one count of criminal possession of a weapon. A make-shirt memorial is set up outside of 1029 Hall Place. Residents say the memorial is the least they can do to commemorate the three innocent lives lost.
