Some local teens are in hot water tonight after they were caught on camera using derogatory language.
Racially explicit videos are being circulated among students at Walter Panas High School.
Rose King, a senior at the school, says some videos show current students, while others are older videos being recirculated.
"It makes me feel very uncomfortable and disgusted because like I went to school with you guys, and you know how people feel about you using that word," says King.
School Principal Joe Spero issued a video statement on the school website.
"My message is very clear. There is no place for any of this to be circulating now that promotes racism or exposes someone else using racist language simply because it's hurtful," he said.
The superintendent also issued a statement saying in part, "Any behavior that violates the Code of Conduct, and/or leads to a DASA investigation, even when school is not in session, will be investigated thoroughly, and will result in the appropriate consequences."

News 12 reached out to a parent of a student in the video to offer a chance to explain, but they did not want to talk.
The district said that its faculty is using the video as a teaching moment to plan deep discussions with students about racism and social justice.
