Tarrytown firefighters performed an Easter miracle when they rescued a man who jumped off the Tappan Zee Bridge into the Hudson River.

Captain Bill Logan, of the Tarrytown Fire Department, says his crew responded to the call around 9 a.m. Firefighters used a boat to search for the jumper, but Logan says it wasn't an easy task. "It's very hard because you've got a lot of waves and we're looking for something like the size of a pineapple bobbing up and down in the water ... If we lose sight of them they can go down," said Logan.

Fortunately, Tarrytown police officers at the scene spotted the victim from the shore and helped direct the captain to the right spot. The jumper was pulled to safety and taken to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

News 12 is not releasing the jumper's name due to his age.
