Tarrytown breakfast honors 600 veterans
Veterans across the Hudson Valley are being honored today for their service to the country.
About 600 vets were on hand for a special breakfast in Tarrytown that recognized the military men and women for the sacrifices they've made for their communities and the United States at large.
The servicemen and women tell News 12 they appreciate the support they receive  "It means I'm with my family. I love vets. I advocate for veterans, I'm proud to be one," says Army veteran Carmen Rodriquez.
It was the ninth year of the event, and was organized by four hospice organizations in Westchester County.  "The only [thing] we can do is show them how grateful we are for service .. and we are there when they need us," says Bruce Page, from Hospice of Westchester.
