Police in Suffern are doing their part to help children in need during the holiday season.
The Suffern Police Department partnered with D.A.R.E. to host a holiday toy drive.
They have filled boxes for several years with donations that go to hundreds of less fortunate families.
"We look at some of the situations people are in, from death in the family, to divorce, or just some other hardships we can provide items for," says Suffern Police Chief Clarke Osborn.
Drive organizers are asking for new and unwrapped toys. Those interested in helping can drop off items through Dec. 20.
