Students from schools around Westchester are helping families stay cozy this holiday season.
Hundreds of kids from Yonkers Montessori Academy on Woodlawn Avenue filled up a colorful bus with new pajamas and donated books.
The bus makes stops around the county as part of the Pajama Project.
The program provides at-risk children and teens a chance to enjoy a loving bedtime experience and a good night's sleep.
Students say they are proud to help out others.
“I'm helping people who need pajamas, giving them away to people who need pajamas, I'm helping them out,” says Giovanni Cavaluzzi, a student at the Yonkers Montessoi Academy.
To date, the Pajama Program has collected and distributed five million pairs of new pajamas and books.
