Students honor veterans on ‘Take A Vet to School Day’
Veterans Day is tomorrow, and some students used music to honor our nation's heroes. Students at Columbus Elementary School in Thornwood sang to veterans today during "Take a Vet to School Day."

Veterans Day is tomorrow, and some students used music to honor our nation's heroes.
Students at Columbus Elementary School in Thornwood sang to veterans today during "Take a Vet to School Day."
The kids also learned what it means to be a proud American from those who fought for our country.
Veteran Jerry Sullivan, who served in the U.S. Army, said he appreciates what the kids did.
"It makes us proud, that we're not forgotten, and if you teach them young they'll remember it throughout their life," he said.
The veterans were also honored with roses, as a heartfelt thanks for their service.
