Student indicted in school stabbing
A grand jury has indicted the 16-year-old Spring Valley High School student accused of stabbing a classmate last week.
The criminal indictment came yesterday against Christopher Bermeo. The Rockland District Attorney charged the teen with attempted murder and assault for allegedly using a pen knife to stab a classmate four times inside the school.
Bermeo is being charged as an adult, and is still being held at the Rockland County Jail on $500,000 bail.
He's due back in court to be arraigned tomorrow, and faces up to 25 years behind bars if convicted.
