A ceremony before the Ramapo vs. Spring Valley football game honored the life of a Spring Valley student who was fatally shot over the summer.

Treynahel Cineus, 17, was shot and killed outside of a Spring Valley apartment complex in July. Three men were arrested in connection to his death.

His family was brought onto the field for a balloon release and moment of silence before the game.

Cineus would have been a senior this year.
