There may still be some hope for people who want to have their wedding this year but had to postpone due to the pandemic.
Wedding vendors in Orange County are petitioning Gov. Andrew Cuomo to allow weddings up to 150 people in New York.
Only 50 people are currently allowed.
Vendors say they thought they’d receive updated guidance in phase four, but that they have heard nothing from the state.
“People want to get married and get on with their lives as couples and we’re here to stand up for them – but we need your help," says Joe Bonura, of Bonura Hospitality Group.
News 12 reached out to Cuomo's office. A spokesperson said they’re currently working on additional guidance for catering halls and weddings.
