Protests have been held in Monroe, Middletown and Newburgh.
While the protests have remained peaceful, authorities are investigating online threats of violence in Warwick and a threat of looting at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets.
Orange County saw rioting in Newburgh in March after a police-involved shooting there.
Mayor Torrance Harvey says authorities are trying to de-escalate tensions.
“It’s hurtful and painful for all of us. We want to maintain peace in our streets," he says.
Officials say the protests in Orange are expected to continue throughout the week.
