A beloved Rockland firefighter and business owner who died from COVID-19 was remembered Wednesday for his lifelong dedication to the community.
Allan Seebach, 62, spent his life in Tappan where he raised four children and served for decades as a volunteer firefighter.
His family says Seebach, who also owned a model train store in town, never made it off life support and passed away late last month. His brothers and sisters at the Tappan Fire Department honored their lifelong member with a final ride – carrying his casket while community members lined the street.
Loved ones say he will be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather who loved to help people, and shared his passion for trains with his customers.
The Tappan Fire Department says Seebach's sudden death hit the brotherhood deeply, and that his dedication to the department and community will always be remembered.
