Cuomo: No more than 10 people at Memorial Day ceremonies; encourages vehicle parades for vets
The state will allow ceremonies with 10 people or less, at the discretion of local governments.

229ds agoGov. Andrew Cuomo said that it’s important to honor veterans, but it should be done safely on Memorial Day amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
He says the state is allowing Memorial Day ceremonies with 10 people or less and is encouraging vehicle parades.

The governor’s briefing was held at The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research in Nassau County. He said that Long Island is making “real progress” and that measures put in place by the state regarding social distancing helped to save lives.
Gov. Cuomo says a pilot program in 16 hospitals across the state will begin to allow more visitors to patients. Those visitors will have proper personal protective equipment.
A total of 105 New Yorkers was added to the state’s death toll on Monday.

- Gov Cuomo announced a two-week hospital visitation pilot program at 16 hospitals across the state. Visitors will be provided PPE and subject to symptom and temperature checks.
