Two of America's most elite flight teams honored front-line and essential workers with formation flights over the tri-state area today.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels teamed up to roar over the skies of southern Westchester during their America Strong salute.

A formation of six F-16C/D Fighting Flacon and six F-18C/D Hornet aircraft conducted the flyovers as a salute from the Air Force and Navy to recognize health care workers, first responders, military, and other essential workers.

The flyover started about noon and lasted about 45 minutes.
They began in New York, by the George Washington Bridge, then made their way into Newark and north New Jersey, then back through Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Southwestern Connecticut and Westchester.
Members of the flight squads say this is their way of bringing the country together in a real time of need. "We're just flying near the hospitals and trying to show them that this is US supporting YOU. We can't show you support in person, but this is a way for us to show you support from afar or overhead," says Maj. Zane Taylor, the Thunderbirds slot pilot.
