At least one person is dead and more than a dozen people are now sick - including two health care workers - after an apparent coronavirus outbreak at two facilities for the elderly in Orange County.

Officials at Montgomery Nursing Home confirm that two health care workers and six residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

Nearby, staff at New Windsor Country Inn Assisted Living say six residents with symptoms were sent to the hospital Wednesday night after another resident died the night before.

Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus says there are now more than 750 cases countywide and two deaths, with thousands of tests pending.
